Being an alphabetical journey through the nature of love.
- A-Agriculture
Plant a seed of love and help it grow by giving the sunlight of sweet thoughts, the rich soil of kind acts and the water of warm words. - B-Biography
On writing the story of my life I found that the best times were those in which I loved what I did with true abandon. - C-Chemistry
Some say love is dopamine, norepinephrine and phenylethylamine and some say that the moon is made of cheese. - D-Dictionaries
I looked up love in the dictionary and found a description of you. Ah, the old jokes are the best. - E-Encyclopaedia
I looked up love in the encyclopaedia and found a picture of you. Ah, the old jokes really do need a facelift. - F-Fine Arts
If I were to paint a tree stretching verdant branches towards the sky then surely I would have painted a picture of true love. - G-Geography
Love has no hearth, and yet is never away from home for it exists not in any particular country, but in the hearts and minds of those who embrace it. - H-History
Long ago, before people were invented, before the world began to turn and before light lit the darkness, love sat in her favourite armchair waiting patiently. - I-Institutions
‘Twould be madness to love thee and yet I find I must, for to do aught else would be to deny my nose as the leader of all expeditions into the world. - K-Knowledge
I know for sure that you love me – it’s been written across your face with magic marker ever since you got drunk and fell asleep at that party. - J-Journalism
The distribution of reports on the interaction of events, facts, ideas, and people that are the ‘news of the day’ and that informs society that it’s still in love with itself. - L-Law
Parents guide us, schools provide rules for our illumination and lands lay down laws for our safety, yet beyond all these, to love for love’s sake is the highest law of all. - M-Medicine
A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down and a loving spoonful eases tension right out of the hard pressed muscles of life. - N-Natural Science
Watch any animal in its natural habitat and you will see love at play. Apart from when they’re being eaten by something bigger and more toothful of course. - O-Outdoor Photography
You have to love the outdoors to take great photographs of it and you have to really love photography to do it in the bitterest depths of winter. - P-Poems
Love itself is ever fresh, though time does tatter at my dress; love does stay here by my side, though beauty from my face does slide; love will be my guiding star, though all is gloom and light is far; love will save me at the end, for love is true and will transcend. - Q-Qur’an
Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance. - R-Recreation
If you’re going for a spot of recreation then what can be more fun than going out there, falling in love with the entire universe and then just … kinda enjoying it? - S-Sculpture
Love isn’t about worrying that you should be sculpting something good; love is what remains when you stop worrying that you’re not creating something good. - T-Technology
With all that technology in your computer, tablet, phone and glasses, how much closer do you think you are coming to the heart of love? - U-Ultrasonography
We are all made of all kinds of energy that swirl and coalesce according to the ebb and flow of our consciousness, and the most powerful of these energies is love. - V-Vedic Philosophy
Find happiness in the real means of happiness such as love, friendship, contentment and control of the senses. - W-Wireless
The kind of love that has strings of concern and wires of neglect that pull your flesh here and your mind there is not the love that is spoken of as being true. - X-Xenobiology
If, in a new country, a new creature were to ask you about the nature of yourself, I recommend that you speak of love with your eyes first and your tongue second. - Y-You
There is one you and that one you is made of one thing and that one thing is love. - Z-Zoology
It’s a light and tumble journey from the East Side to the park; just a fine and fancy ramble to the zoo. But you can take the crosstown bus if it’s raining or it’s cold and the animals will love it if you do.
GREAT post! Loved every alphabet letter.

Ah – gotcha. On WP. 🙂 There I was thinking I was famous the whole world over. My head had actually swollen so much I was worried I couldn’t get through the doorway to go to bed. Got any New Year Revolutions planned? (random question)

Lol, one day soon I bet.
Hm, you know .. I haven’t actually considered it. I used to do them and then life got in the way so couldn’t achieve some. But it’s good to have something to strive towards. How about you?

Nothing set yet. There are plenty of things I want to do, but … like you say – life gets in the way. I can’t get to do stuff for all the stuff I do. 😀

Ha – totally glad you liked it, Truly – it literally took me all day to do that one. I finished at twenty past midnight. 🙂

I can believe it….if I had the talent, it would have taken me longer than that….it took me over 10 hours to write my latest blog (and that was a record for one of my usual word-play ones). The spontaneous ones take no time at all. It is incredible to think how much time and work is put into what we share 🙂 Thank you for making the efforts 🙂

Ten hours. I feel for you. Yes, I love the spontaneous ones too! 😀
Love to us for the love that we share. It’s the law.

It’s funny, the wordplay comes so easily/spontaneously, it’s the joining my thoughts together that takes hours and hours…that’s why I end up writing a post over a 2 or 3 day span…the sleep in between gives my mind a chance to relax 🙂

Talking about sleep – its about time for me now. Goodnight, Truly – have a refreshing night when it comes for you, my sweet friend. 🙂

What a lovely post that is Rob!
I dropped by here to wish you a Merry Christmas (albeit belated) and a great start to 2017. I visited some friends for Christmas and I’m on my way back but my train just crossed York and I thought I should pay you a visit here 🙂

Hey Aisha, how’s the Christmas season going for you? 🙂
I thought for a second there that you’d just gotten off the train in York – I was just about to run over there and look for you!

Robert, this would be great for the A to Z challenge in April. You could expand each into a daily post and still have Sundays off!

That’s great news, Dee! 🙂
By the way – what’s the A to Z challenge?

Robert, it’s an alphabetical challenge that begins in April, well, it has for the last seven years, so I’m guessing it will this upcoming April, too. Each day, except Sundays, you post beginning with the letter of the day, A through Z, on a theme of your choice. I haven’t seen anything yet for this year, but in Feb or March I’m sure you can find it by searching AtoZ Challenge on WordPress. There were thousands of participants last year and it was a lot of fun, tho a bit time consuming. But you’d be halfway there with your subject matter! You just sign up and use the logo and that helps direct people to your site to read your posts…

I guess it’s the kind of thing people do when they need a prompt. I’m kind of maxed out on prompts for the next couple of years though due to the Masters thang. The ‘time consuming’ part puts me off. Maybe the year after next. 😉

I thought you’d be done with your Masters class soon, no? Yes, plan on 2018 😀

It’s a 2 year part-time thing so I’ll still be doing it in April 2018. 🙂
