Digital books should apply meaningful personalisation. Who wouldn’t want to be the hero or heroine of the very novel they are reading!
I think that romance novels like the ones published by Mills & Boon (Harlequin Romance in the US) would be particularly appropriate.
All that would be required is a quick find and replace so that the main character then becomes the reader – voilà!
Which famous novel would you (yes, you) like to be the star of? I’d love to know.
I would like to star-My name is Red by Orhan Pamuk! It’s amazing and if you have read I would love to become The Beloved uncle:)

I’ve heard good things about that book so I’ve added it to my To-Buy list on Goodreads. Hopefully someone will see it there and get it for me for my birthday (and you know when that is, right?) 🙂

Getting books is one of my favourite things ever, but taking them away from someone that loves them too is not so high on my list of things to do. When is your birthday?

Okay – if it comes to that then I will accept your gracious offer – thank you. 🙂
New year’s eve – how interesting! Do you insist on a separate celebration or are you merged into Christmas. Oh, wait – perhaps y’all don’t celebrate the birthday of Christ. 😀

Not a Harlequin Romance or whatever they call them in England. Those things bore me to tears or make me gag… take your pick. Maybe one of the Dragons Riders of Pern books. I would love having a dragon to ride around on and zip through time and space with her as well. Definitely more fun than a mushy romance!

Are these Dragon Riders of Pern talkative at all? 🙂

They are talkative as are the Dragons. I started reading those stories many many years ago. They were written by Anne McCaffrey who was one of my favorite authors. One of her sons took over and wrote a few Pern books as well. If you look up “Dragonriders of Pern” you can find the books and other info on this series and the two authors as well.

I know of the books but haven’t read any of them. I think I was put off by the fact that there are so many in the series. The only one I have by Anne McCaffrey is Nimisha’s Ship and there are no dragons in that one (as far as I can tell).
