Adam and Eve

Adam and Eve – historical or allegorical? I don’t know enough to say either way but here’s what happened when I tried to figure out the types of words found in this passage:

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Word Types

If you spot any that I’ve mislabelled, then please do let me know – I’m learning.

  1. Wow, I feel as though I’ve just gone back to English class. I think straight As for you Master Robert, though I’m too tired to double check every single word! Have a great Friday 🙂

  2. Adverbs are not words that describe nouns… adjectives do that. But an adverb modifies a adjective, a verb, or another adverb. I remember what adverbs do by seeing ad (add) verb. Very, swiftly, kindly are all adverbs. It’s a fun game to play. Careful… carefully. Be careful to pet the porcupine carefully. A word with LY on the end is most often an adverb.

  3. Reply is both an noun and a verb. Right now while I’m writing this it’s being a verb because I’m doing something. When I finish it will be a noun. As for words, I have said that I collect them like precious jewels.
