Adam and Eve – historical or allegorical? I don’t know enough to say either way but here’s what happened when I tried to figure out the types of words found in this passage:
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
If you spot any that I’ve mislabelled, then please do let me know – I’m learning.
Interesting and very colorful for three sentences.

It’s straight from The Bible so I suppose it’s going to be interesting. What I really wanted to do was to determine whether it shows or tells. But I don’t really have the skill to determine. Someone better that me can undertake that project. How are you today, Steph? 🙂

Completely disconnecting and chillin’ is always my first choice. I find it difficult to relax but I’m intentionally learning to let go.

I read a description today of someone in a hammock just chilling and watching the blue sky whilst listening to the beautiful bird song and I thought ‘nice!’ And then, at the end, the writer labelled this behaviour as laziness and I thought ‘whoa! really?’ It a funny how different folks see the same thing so very differently.
Me – I’m right there with you, Stephen – relaxation is the way to go. 🙂

Sorry, just noticed that the autocorrect thingy called you Stephen. Sorry, Steph – it has been spanked and sent to bed early with no supper.

Shame on the autocorrect thingy, good thing you used stern discipline 😉 No worries, I knew what you meant. 🙂

Ah, so you like a good spanking do you? 😀

No, no, not me, the auto correct thingy. I’m allergic to spanking.

Wow, I feel as though I’ve just gone back to English class. I think straight As for you Master Robert, though I’m too tired to double check every single word! Have a great Friday 🙂

That’s what I was banking on – that everyone would be too tired to check. Still – isn’t it pretty! 🙂
Have a lovely, lovely weekend – be sweet and kind as always.

Adverbs are not words that describe nouns… adjectives do that. But an adverb modifies a adjective, a verb, or another adverb. I remember what adverbs do by seeing ad (add) verb. Very, swiftly, kindly are all adverbs. It’s a fun game to play. Careful… carefully. Be careful to pet the porcupine carefully. A word with LY on the end is most often an adverb.

But, obviously, not always. I don’t think Reply is an adverb. LOL

Yeah, I was going to write all that, Orpha – honest, but it just wouldn’t fit on the line. 🙂
But seriously – thanks for the correction. I live and learn. 😉 And you make learning such a pleasure with your playful way with words.

Reply is both an noun and a verb. Right now while I’m writing this it’s being a verb because I’m doing something. When I finish it will be a noun. As for words, I have said that I collect them like precious jewels.

You do right, Orpha – they are multicoloured, multidimensional and multitalented. What’s not to love! 🙂
