I just went outside and felt the earth and it was so good that I just had to share it with y’all.
I work in an office all day, so visiting earth felt as strange to me as going to another planet.
Yeah, yeah, I know – I need to get some work done – right?
Oh, wait – one last thing: this post is dedicated to Jyotee who blogs as isolated_girl at Just because she asked.

    • Glad that you’re smiling because I have to go to the dentist now – a filling on each side so I might not be capable of smiling soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
Yes – you can call me Rob. Can I call you Jyotee? if so, our names actually mean the same thing – Rob means bright shining star and Jyoti/Jyotee means light – right?
Yes – it was great to go out and grab a handful of earth – it grounded me very nicely. Some say that we need to ground ourselves more in order to rid ourselves of harmful vibrations/energy. I certainly should!
You’re welcome to the dedication. I hope you get lots of love and appreciation from it because you’re worth it.
      Art? I calls that a doodle! ๐Ÿ˜€

      • I feeling your vibes. I must be. I just smile and smile when I read what you send me.
Yeah, doodle is a kind of an art form – maybe not the highest one, but certainly in the bag.
I was careful at the dentist – there was not too much blood when I rinsed my mouth.
You’ll be sound asleep by now (maybe) and if you are, then the earth and sky are protecting you and keeping you safe. Maybe it is morning and you have awakened feeling refreshed. I send you greetings of peace for the shiny , bright new day. โœŒ

      • I hear people in India telling me temperatures like 45 and 54 degrees C – is it a little cooler in Kathmandu (which looks like Disneyland when I look at it on Google)? I take cues from your wind, rain and chilly blasts. ๐Ÿ™‚
It sounds (and looks) truly like a wonderland, Jyoti. ๐Ÿ˜‰
I LOVE that people can chat here rather than see it purely as a blog – I love chatting here – it feels so warm and safe and cool (yeah – I know).
Well, I’m in an office, as you know, although I did make sure that I touched something that was growing from the good earth this morning. There are no hills in York at all, which is one thing that I miss from my birthplace (Sheffield, a big industrial city that is 60 miles south of here). Everywhere here is flat, with no views to speak of. I can see a few trees from the window but most of it is buildings, with a little sky floating above.
It’s so very good that my comment made you smile – that makes me very happy. You’re such a bundle of joy – thank you for being my friend. ๐Ÿ˜€

        yes dear!
        birthplaces r alwaz wonderful

thanks for saying ,that! : )

I m more pleased n humbled to come across ur blog n u!

        Thanks Rob

      • Hah! The sky is incredibly rich and lovely – almost beyond compare. Its only rival is the good, good earth with its many colours and teeming life.
Yeah, and also my birthplace is surrounded by woods and nature. I would love to take the day out, pack up a picnic and travel there so that I can enjoy the walking under the spring sun – not too hot and not too cold. I think that maybe I will do that soon. Maybe I can persuade my 2 sisters to join me. That would be very nice. ๐Ÿ™‚
But wait now – me rock? No – you rock! Just by saying that I rock, you automatically rocket to the top of the rock! ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Jeg er veldig bra, takk for รฅ spรธrre. ๐Ÿ˜€
I’m going to ask you a question and it is one that might ‘break the spell’ so if it does, please forgive me instantly and ignore the question as if it never existed. The question is: ‘why do you say that life is all about PAIN’?
The reason I ask that is that I detect nothing but pleasure and enjoyment in our conversations.
Just a sample of the words you use: pleasure, share, wonderful, blessing, love caring, blessed and no less than four smiley faces.
Again, if I transgress or step too hard on your toes with this question then please ignore.
I remain your devoted friend – Rob.

      • She can read this, but I doubt that she would, because our conversation on this thread finished (unless you replied directly to her comment).
If she really is your girl though – you would talk about this – right? ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Yep,has been my girlfriend for 2 years, Iยด m about to take the ring out and when Iยด m about to do that you know what she say? ” Gotta go to a meeting”….. damn me, and this was while I was almost kneelling down (sorry computer is configured in spanish so probably quite the gramatical errors) do she is actually evil, can she reply to this? • You have my utmost support, Charly. If you need any help at all changing the language setting on the computer, then I’m your man!
About that other stuff? Respect to you, but you’re on your own with your relationship issues, dude. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. It’s a nice doodle and doodles are a form of art. When I was in college I would start taking notes for class and often I would doodle all over the place instead of taking notes as I should have. Someone asked if they could copy my note and I burst out laughing. I showed her my “notes” and she said “Oh! I thought you were really taking notes. My little icon is a sort of doodle that I did in Painter with special brush that was supposed to be like the Japanese brushes. I liked it and have adopted as my icon for many different things. It’s a digital doodle. LOL I’m happy that you survived the dentist. Have a great day.

    • That post has been called many things – art, doodle, poem, words. At the end of the day it’s a pile of muck that I went outside to get and then plopped onto a sheet of A4. I then wrote a few words with a highlighter pen, in my own handwriting, and then drew around the colour with a pen. I then wrote my name at the bottom because of my egocentric nature.
I’m not at all convinced that this constitutes a doodle. ๐Ÿ™‚
Here is an example of what I call a doodle:
This is what I do to keep myself alert in classes, workshops and the like. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I’m reading the comments and thinking- wow! I think all of those things too! (Except the over-protective, seemingly jealous man there, what was that all about?!). So, to add on, I really like your handwriting, Robert. Mind sharing a larger handwritten piece? :3

    • Each of us is wonderful in our own unique and beautiful ways and yet, yes – we do share the same kinds of thoughts – maybe in slightly different colours and shades, with different implications for ourselves, but we’re all human and part of one big happy fambly – right?
Yes – I’m pretty sure I can share a larger, handwritten piece – would you like it to say anything in particular? ๐Ÿ™‚
Oh – the guy is someone who comments on Tosha’s blog ( and I was curious to know him so I Liked one of his comments and he followed me home. He’s a nice guy actually and I’m pretty sure he’s joking. Probably. I’m getting him some therapy for Christmas (if he’s been a good boy) wrapped up in pink wrapping paper.
Hope you’re having an excellent day, Maitreyi. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • I’m not really the kind of guy that you want to say ‘surprise me’ to. ๐Ÿ˜€ You’ll probably get shocked, horrified or mildly amused by the result – probably the latter if I know you as I think I do. ๐Ÿ™‚
Yeah – chances are he was joking. Me? No – I’m quite serious (only joking).
Your name? I went to your blog, clicked on Google + ( in the side bar) and read it from that page. So I see that you know Spanish too -nice!

      • Then you’re definitely the kind of guy I want to say ‘surprise me’ to :).
I wish I knew Spanish! I’m just learning it off DuoLingo and only know the basics. D’you speak Spanish?

        Liked by 1 person

      • Hahaha – well prepare to be underwhelmed then. ๐Ÿ™‚
No – no Spanish for me, aside from Hola, and all of that basic stuff. Within Europe I’ve been to Spain and Portugal and France and Germany and Italy and Greece and Bulgaria and Scotland and Ireland and just about managed to get by in those places – but only with the aid of a phrase book in most of them. Trouble is, everyone speaks English so it’s really difficult for English people to learn other languages. We just keep getting put to shame. What’s your first language?

  4. Ah! Good. Glad you explained because I was spending sleepless nights worrying about it and then googling for cures for insomnia because I forgot what I was staying up for and then I was googling for cures for memory loss but that didn’t go far because … erm … what am I typing this for? Who are you again? Wait … (googles Isolated-girl). Ah! I think I found you:
    (yeah, yeah, I know – it’s not you – I remember!! – it’s a miracle!!!)
Oh, and yeah, I don’t know how to reply to his comment specifically either, except by using the next Reply button down. ๐Ÿ™‚
