The daily struggle for survival in inhospitable places in the world, and the survival of those people against the threat of death gives a very different experience of the value of life than for some people living in safer places.

Yeah. But however optimistic you try to be there’s always something miserable in it. And I mostly am constantly trying to convert the miserable things in my life to beautiful. Beautiful miseries is what I would describe life.
